Just Your Favorite DJ Savior
The DJ Shadow sample page is back online! I'd link to it, but as the current maintainer says:
Welcome to the return of the DJ Shadow Samples page. This page was originally created by Michael "DOP" Lane, whose time and efforts to keep up these pages were helpful in spreading the word about DJ Shadow and his music. Some of you might remember DOP from his great show on WREK in Atlanta, The Breaks.
The DJ Shadow Samples page had moved a number of times over the years, and eventually with Mike devoting more time to his job (and having a life!), he took down the site. I felt it was essential not only for DJ Shadow fans, but for record collectors and producers who want to explore his music a bit further. I am sure the "sample police" have visited this site, and because of this fact, I want to respect DOP's wishes by asking you to NOT place an external link to this page. This sample page has never been a secret to Shadow fans, but due to the unpredictability of the recording industry, I want to keep this going without threat from the powers that be. To make it interesting, I will change the URL of these pages every week or so, for those of you who refuse to play by the rules. Eternal to gratitude to Michael Lane for creating these pages, I will maintain them in the same fashion that you did. Thank you for passing these pages to me.
If you are a DJ Shadow fan and want the url, email me or send me a message on AIM (acemcburney) and I'll give you the url.

Does.....Not....Compute....
Can someone tell me how the rss referer page on RCS works? I just can't seem to figure out where RCS gets the information.... Or maybe I'm just not understanding it correctly?
Ok, I think I figured it out. It is the number of times Radio Aggregators got new items from my RSS feed and it works because Radio spies on what you are reading unless you turn it off

Day 1 of 30 Days to a More Accessable Weblog
"Like the majority of blind people, Jackie knows very little Braille. She has a Braille label maker to mark her CDs, but she can not read Braille books, because they are written in grade 2 Braille, which she has never learned. When she shops and plays online, she uses the latest version of JAWS, a screen reader that integrates with Internet Explorer on Windows. JAWS uses an advanced text-to-speech synthesizer to read web sites aloud. It also has a mind-numbing array of esoteric keyboard shortcuts for navigating through web sites, all of which Jackie has memorized. She can read well-designed web sites even more quickly than she can read her audio textbooks."
I can't wait to see where Mark goes with this. I'm sure willing to do whatever I can to make the internet and especially my writing more accessable to people with disabilities.

American Invisible Becomes Quite Visible
"I'm amazed! American Invisible, Inc. just appeared on the all-time top 100 listing for the radio.weblogs.com server. Thank you, folks! I can't even begin to say how grateful I am." [American Invisible, Inc.]
Congratulations! I'm still not sure why you can't use that to your advantage to make a quick buck. I know I'd sure be willing to drop a few dollers into a paypal tip jar or something. Just because you don't have a publisher doesn't mean you can't make money
