Don't Steal My Focus
Here's why I don't think that focus is all that magical at all -- I have focus. I have had it my whole life. Focus is whatever I am doing at the present time. Here's an example:
- You're programming away. Happy as a clam. In your text editor. Typing furiously, getting stuff done. Then.....
- BOOM! There's another window up on screen! It's got the focus now. IT STOLE THE FOCUS -- FROM YOU.
- Do the ALT+TAB dance back to your editor. Figure out what keystrokes didn't get in. Retype. Sigh. Until the next time.

IMHO the best solution for controlling focus is 'sloppy focus' (whatever window your mouse is over has focus, until you move your mouse to another window, then it has focus). This is usually only avaliable in window managers for *NIX. I use Blackbox.

Latest: Ninjatune bought by EMI
Mr Scruff has been dropped from the label, the spokesman commenting "He's a bit unkempt and smells of fish". Similarly Bonobo has been axed, as apparently "a monkey could write this stuff".
The Cinematic Orchestra will be rushing out a new album, with "a lot more beats and... we just feel it needs some guitars".
Rumours that Amon Tobin will be producing Britney's next album "Smack me up one more time, bitch" are as yet unfounded.

There's still some more work that needs to be done, though. In specific, how do I get to you via your trail? Or, to be even more specific- how to my... [0xDECAFBAD]
deus_x recommends adding another LINK tag on all weblog pages that points to the root site so that agents can better define 'your weblog'. He suggests something like this: <link href="http://ipwebdev.com/radio/" rel="contents"> . I like it but I haven't had a chance to let all the ramifications sink in yet.

Music Industry Unveils New Piracy-Proof Format: A Black, Plastic Disc With Grooves On It
As part of the invention's rigorous testing process, the designers gave some
discs to a group of teenage computer experts who regularly use file swapping
software such as Limewire and gnutella and who admit to pirating music CDs.
Despite several days of trying, none of them were able to hack into the
disc's code or access any of the music files contained within it.
"It's like, really big and stuff," said Doug Flamboise, one of the testers.
"I couldn't get it into any of my drives. I mean, what format is it? Is it,
like, from France or something?" [Build And Destroy]
