I've been a member for many years now of an organization
called the Center For American Studies at Concord. We recently
had some meetings in which we renamed ourselves (or more acurately
are considering it). The proposed new name is: The Center for the Renewal
of the American Spirit - an association of people working together
throught the art of conversation. In a way, I am not sure that
we have the right to such a name, for that name is certainly
descriptive of the work of many others, who each in their
own way are working to renew the American Spirit,
through a similar kind of association in which
conversation is also a key element.
